Video Production I - This section contains videos from the Video Production I classes at Whitmore Charter High School
and for many this the first tiem they have embarked on this type of venture. Video production is a serious job and many
are fooled into thinking that all it needs is a camera and finger to push the button. in it simplest form - yes!

Video Production  classes at Whitmore go way beyond  the simple point and shoot to storyboarding, script writing, props
and sets. We cover film making theory as well as practical aspects of film making. In Video I students receive instruction
in the basic principles and work onsimple projects that help them understand the complexity of filmaking.

The Video Production II class takes students into greater depth and requires a strict self discipline as the nature of the course requires
students to be self directed for a large part of the course and this is not for everyone. Commitment and follow through are
rewarded in the gaining of a set of skills that can be used in almost any industry or profession and amazing feeling of
self achievement is realized after what can be frustrating and painstaking work.

The "Hall of Fame" is representative of student work that exemplifies this commitment. Many students spend considerable
hours of their own time (outside of scheduled classes) working on projects that culminate in the opportunity and well earned
place in the WHITube "Hall Of Fame".
